گروه کوهنوردی آسمان (گروه ورزش های ویژه) انجمنی است از دوستداران طبیعت بویژه جوانان که در تابستان سال 1382 با آرمان بهره مندی از زیبایی های پیرامون و آفرینش بستری ورزشی ، علمی ، دینی برای نیل به اهداف فرهنگی میهن پدید آمد . این گروه خود را در پاسداری از بهداشت گستره ی طبیعی و فرهنگی کشور و پرهیز از وارد آمدن گزند به آن ، با دیگر کوشایان در این زمینه هم پیمان می داند .
همچنین از آن جا که هموندان این گروه ، آموزش های گوناگون مانند کوهنوردی و سنگنوردی ، خلبانی پاراگلایدر ، نجات غریق و غواصی ، تیراندازی ، ورزشهای رزمی و بویژه دوره های امداد و نجات با همکاری سازمان هلال احمر را سپری نموده اند ، آمادگی هرگونه کمک رسانی به آسیب دیدگان ، چه در کوهستان و یا دیگر گستره های طبیعی و نیز برگزاری دوره های آموزشی در همه ی زمینه های کوهنوردی و کارکردهای وابسته را دارد .

About IRAN
Iran is a mountainous land. In a general view, the mountains of Iran include two main ranges of "Alborz" with an east-west direction and "Zagros" with a northwest-southeast extension, which cover most of the high mountains in Iran. Many "single" high mountains are also spread in other areas and specially around the central plateau of Iran. Due to the extremely high altitudal variation in Iran, ranging from 28m below the sea level up to 5671m on Damavand Mount, very beautiful views and climatic variations can be seen all over the country. It is now a famous saying in Iran that one can have one's first half of the day enjoying winter sports like snow skiing, and the other half doing water sports like surfing! The beautiful Alborz mountain range in the north, contains a collection of the highest mounts in Iran. "Damavand", the roof of Iran with a 5671-meter altitude, is a volcanic cone. "Alamkuh", 4850m and with forested slopes, has 850 meters of fine parapet excellent for rock-climbing. There are also many other peaks of over 4000 meters high. In the Zagros range, most of the mountains are calcareous with deep valleys and meandering rocks. Famous mountains such as "Dena" with several high peaks, the beautiful peak of "San Bran", Gahar Lake on it's foot, "Zardkuh" and many other peaks with over 4000m, stand there straight under the blue sky. But there are other peaks of over 4000m in other areas as well. Examples are "Taftan" volcanic cone in Baluchestan with volcanic gases still erupting out, and the splendid "Sabalan" peak in Azerbaijan with slopes covered with wild flowers and a beautiful lake in the volcanic cone at it's peak frozen most part of the year. There are mountaineering facilities to most of these peaks, and also perfect climbers with wonderful capabilities for many mountain sports.
